Hey how are ya, is there a special gasket between the Weber carbs and the Lawrence intake manifolds? This car has been apart since the late 60's. I am in the process of getting it running. Engine is rebuilt. The gaskets that were on it are flat paper gasket material. Thanks for any information.

Ryan.

There are anti vibe gaskets with O rings for Weber DCOE carbs. Your favorite Weber supplier can help with that. Every installation of Webers that I have done uses these plastic/O ring gaskets with studs and springs to keep the engine from frothing the fuel in the carbs.

Redline also has all of the jets, rebuild kits, linkage parts...

Redlineweber.com

Also

Piercemanifolds.com

Both excellent Weber sources, and they are familiar with your installation.

Enjoy the installation. Don't over tighten the spring mounts (or under tighten them). Make sure that the O rings seat properly. I use DOW 4 high vac silicone grease to seat O rings and oil filters, among other things.
You may have to tighten the nuts/springs after driving a bit. You are looking for a good seal.

You can get a nice metalized set from Morgan spares (Linda) last time it cost me $45 for one set . Should last forever

I am always OK............. the trouble is with the others :-)

Been apart since the late 60's - Possibly only a few years old!
Will be a great car.
