If only we could restore people, like we do with cars, and live forever.
I received a call one day from a fellow car enthusiast to tell me there was a Morgan available for sale that I needed to buy. I asked why ,and he said because it matches the Vans RV-6 airplane you own. Intrigued, I asked how it matched my plane? He said the car was painted yellow and the interior was black with yellow piping, just like the airplane. He also said it was a recent full restoration. I imagined that would be a very expensive car and my first response was, I was trying to sell assets to raise cash for...

I am the fortunate owner of first ever Burlington SS created by Haydn Davies in 1979. He delivered the kit at my Pub in Westhoughton Greater Manchester. I then constructed for first time, during the winter of 1980/1981 and kept it, in the same condition for next 6 years. After many years of storage I then, with many alterations and with ultimate modifications I totally restored the vehicle during 2006/2011: I documented the process throughout the entire project.
Unfortunately, I regretfully need to sell my cherished possession now. I realise that is very special and unique vehicle as it...

This is a new event based loosely on the Goodwood Festival and will be a yearly event. It is held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (or as we still call it - Mosport). I ran the Morgan in the Speed Run Hillclimb in a group of exotics like McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. it was untimed so I don’t know how much I beat them by! In any case a fun time and they got some great shots of the car. This is my favorite.

Bob Hauge knew of an engine that was reasonably priced and had a bit of life left in it. As well sourced the Weber DCOE's for Me. When John Burks of Ashland, Oregon heard about My project He told Me and sourced all the other parts I would need including a ZETEC that was KAPUT. The Owner of this stuff lives just South of San Francisco. John and Barbara invited both of us to their home in Ashland and We made the swap. So now I had all the parts to make this conversion. I am making this sound too easy. Believe Me it was not easy. But with John's and Bob's help it was a lot easier than if...

The Restoration begins
The doors drop when opened, oversize 7mm diameter stainless steel hinge pins have solved the problem. Pins purchased from Heart of England, 7 mm hand reamer from the Internet.
Examined the doors doth need a re-skin. Mad About Morgan web site is proving very helpful. The wood work will need replacing and both inner and outer skins renewing. Black Phey are the company I have chosen to supply the wood frames.

In 1962 the LawrenceTune-prepared Morgan +4 TOK258 won the 2 Litre class at Le Mans and finished 14th overall. Although officially a Morgan works entry, this was really down to Chris Lawrence persuading Peter Morgan to apply for the race, as Lawrence knew that this would almost guarantee the car being allowed to compete. John Pearce, who was employed by LawrenceTune at the time, was one of the four pit crew members for the race.
