Button my friend ...in order to make sure that you won't walk on water I have put some pebbles in your pockets :-) but then again any older Morgans and their drivers they would float on the water as the car has wooden frame :-) cheers
I am always OK............. the trouble is with the others :-)

Maybe the ones from Southern California will float, but the ones in the Pacific Northwest are water logged and will not float. BTW I am mending a badly rotted sill with Epoxy - System 3. That for sure will make so it doesn't float. Not sure if this will work. Don't try it until I find out if it will do the job.

I heard a guy here tried and epoxy coated everything inside out 20 years ago
I have lost touch with him so I don't know the outcome
My 3 year research has told me the best thing for Ash is Tung Oil the genuine Tung oil is very expensive and it may need 3 coats as it soak in well in all the places that rot or infestation may occur
I shall be commencing on mine in September God willing. Tung oil also solidifies a few days after application so the second coat is soaked slower . Must leave to dry 24 hours before 2nd application

No! I am using Epoxy Putty to replace between 1/2" and 3/4" of rotted sill along the outboard edge. I am familiar with Tung Oil as a finish not as a preservative to stop rot before it starts. I would use the "Rot Doctors" CPRES and coat the sanded wood with this. It is an epoxy product. But I don't have enough experience with this stuff to make any claims.

This is intended to strap to an aircraft seat, but I wonder if the structure is adequate to make it into an actual seat. It's only 15" wide:

I am in the process of fitting folding front seats from a 4 seater in my 53 roadster. They require a slight modification to the base support due to leaf spring interference. Otherwise they are a nice alternative and still a Morgan seat. They are difficult to find but there are some out there if you search.
